Hermaphroditic. Born with both genitalia or a percentage thereof. The condition occurs about 1 of every 2000 births and in modern times is surgically corrected. It's typically easier to sculpt something similar to female genitalia and mark the sex as 'female'. There is no reproductive capability.
For Curtis it was a life as dealt, not a choice. Curtis is no more a him than a her as a strict result of biology.
Good to know
Unfortunate. From what i understand the hormonal balance present in the person does not always agree with the surgical path chosen and many difficulties growing up and existing arise.
This is a legitimate and unfortunate driven medical condition and not the result of mental instabilities or LGBTQ brainwashing. It's a tough road and, from what i have read over the years, Curtis has made a good go of existing with some semblance of normality.
Nothing about it in Wiki, do you know where it's mentioned?
Probably few places now, with all the correctness and penalties for not being. But I've heard it discussed for years. The early Internet was a-buzz about it, especially when True Lies came out.
I'm personally a fan. Haven't really followed her (as she was raised to identify) in recent years. Don't know much about her current politics or care. I watch her in whatever movie I'm in the mood for and that's about the extent of it. I wish her well, though. She seems to have handled life better than i would have.
Amazing, had never heard it.
Can't help but look at her differently now - thought it's not her fault, it's a true birth defect.
I knew one back in the 70s in school.
That's hot.
This is old news. Glad to see it's making the rounds again.
As I understand it, she never got it corrected and still lives this way.
I've never seen that confirmed but have heard same.
