>A killer transgender pedophile who brutally raped a three-month-old baby is asking to be released from prison to attend an Indigenous ceremony. Tara Desousa, 43, has applied to the Federal Court in Canada to have a decision by the Fraser Valley Institution that denied her 'temporary absences' overturned. Desousa, then known as Adam Laboucan, was 15 when in 1997 she sexually assaulted an infant she was babysitting in Quesnel, British Columbia. Due to the horrific nature of her crime, the baby had to undergo reconstructive surgery to repair injuries sustained in the diabolical attack.
