The eighteenth-century German poet, Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, penned these words, which I painted as a reminder to preside over my daily chores:

Cease endlessly striving to do what you want to do and learn to love what must be done.

I think I need to write this quote out a put it up on my wall.

"learn to love what must be done" is it this easier for woman than it is men? ive tried explaining this to my boyfriend in other words and he wonders how i can find joy in duty.

ive really been slacking in my chores lately. the more stacked the chores get the less i want to do it. im not sure where my motivation went

Idk. I think it's just something that some people get easier than others. I get the idea and some days I can find joy in my chores and other duties and other days it's a bit harder.

Not sure where you are but the weather getting cooler can bring my mood down and can make it harder to do my chores.
