It's a satisfying hobby for sure.

i have a consew 7360rb-2 - a high speed drop feed machine, straight stich

also a 9" bed thompson zigzag machinewith carbon pile foot pedal and a decent plastic case for it all.

current project is a "porter bag". it is similar to an army c-bag but with compression straps(rather it really is compression lacing when done), extra height, girth, wider straps, roll top clousure. it is half way done more or less. almost done really just need straps, some handles, the roll top sorted out, and then i can sew up the two seam allong the back panel,, and then finish the roll top and maybe some other effects. it is being done in all 12oz cotton duck and ill polyemerize linseed into it when done. like the name suggests it is a pack for when installing an outfitter camp/getting a large amount of gear moved/winter camping. maybe ill post a picutre when done, shheit

That sounds really awesome!

I made something like that a few years ago out of kevlar, My idea was that it'd be a bag that'd last practically forever, but it only lasted a few years.

I'd like to see that pic. And waterproofing your own fabric is pretty adventurous.
