I’ve watched the birth of all of my children.

We pretty much have a routine now. I’m with my wife every step of the way.

*We start out in the birthing room. *When the contractions are intense enough we head to the tub. If the tub is not available yet we jump in the shower together and I use the handheld on her back and stomach in a consistent pattern or as she directs. This really helps her. *I don’t talk or touch unless she grabs my hand but I’m right there until the midwife moves in to deliver the baby. *I’ve watched every baby come right out; it’s fascinating and awesome. *The baby goes straight to mama’s naked breasts. *After the little lovey is cleaned, weighed and measured, they get to snuggle me on my bare chest. * Baby never leaves our sight.

Edit: My wife has pushed all of or kids out without drugs. She will forever have my respect for her strength. After our second I bought her a GL450 as a push present because I was so impressed. Unfortunately after our third we had to sell it for something bigger.
