But "The Science" definitely is a religion. It's something that I (and others) call Scientism. A faith based in the pronouncements of the "scientific consensus". Now, anyone who actually understands science will know that there is no such thing as a scientific consensus, a consensus is anathema to actual science. But, that does not matter (indeed, denial of the consensus is heresy for the followers of Scientism) for these acolytes. For the last few decades, they have primarily been confined to the climate related fields, but COVID expanded them (as the climate nonsense and COVID nonsense were the same game plan, just on a different time scale).
