I'd never bothered to watch Jackson's bloated, badly done Hobbit Trilogy until recently when I stumbled across an edit that cut the material to just what was in the books.
Eventually, I arrived at the scene in "Lake-Town" and watched, horrified, as Jackson kept putting niggers front-and-center in shots. He was priming the pump for Rings of Power. He knew he couldn't get away with putting nogs in the key roles, but he definitely wanted "representation" among the inhabitants of the small, clearly Scottish village.
