Please take a moment to silence your cellphone, quiet your mind, and pray in the fashion you best see fit.

I was speaking with my Mother earlier today, and I received some bad news. She was going grocery stopping when her credit card was declined, which didn't make any sense to her. Seeking to resolve this issue, she phoned the company, and found about $500.00 in charges for various electronics that didn't much sense.

It turns our that during the Thanksgiving weekend, one of my Nephews had used her phone, and the credit card info saved inside of it, to purchase many things, probably in the hope that she would not notice.

This was not the first time he stole from her; Last year he stole and sold her iPhone, and he has stolen from his Father as well. He is 12 years old.

I can see him headed down a bad path now, I think nearly everyone can. It is difficult to watch, knowing how wrong his decisions are, knowing how much easier and better his life would be in the future if he just listened, but God has given him Free Will, and it is impossible to fix another human, no matter hard you may try.

This is a lesson I have learned from the inside; Many well-meaning friends and family members have tried to fix me, and all have failed, for it is beyond human power.

But there is One who has all power, that One is God. May you find Him now

Please take a moment, and think of someone you know, someone you can see, or have seen, going down a treacherous path, and pray that God takes them into His care and protection, and allows them to see the error of their ways.

May God Bless us all.

A belt would fix that boy.

I would be inclined to agree with you, if he was raised in a strong two parent household.

But his Mother is crazy. Not like 'she is kind of a bitch' crazy, like she is actually crazy.

During the long and spiteful custody battle that lasted through most of his formative years, she repeatedly accused my Brother of having held her in captivity and raping her repeatedly, and told, both my Nephew, and the judge, that he was born as a product of rape while she was imprisoned.

The judge ended up siding completely with my Brother, which is almost unheard of in the modern legal system, as the Mother almost always wins by default.

Add to that the fact that he spent a lot of time growing up under the insanity of COVID lock-downs...

Not all problems can be cured by belts.

I'm sorry to hear that. It's always depressing to watch someone fall on their face during formative years due to parental negligence. We see that too much now.

I can kind of relate. My dad had enough of my mom's shit when I was 14, and he left us with a fifth a day alcoholic mother.

Anyway, a belt can only go so far in this case, you're right. The boy needs purpose and something interesting to focus on that isn't Fortnite or whatever. His father would be able to help him with that.

Or, and hear me out here, an uncle.
