Both are rear wheel drive.
I have found if easier to drive in slippery conditions with rear wheel drive vs front wheel drive. really just a personal preference. 4 wheel drive is best.
I guess RWD on a car is better than on an empty pickup. I had to drive home at night in snow after babysitting in a small pickup with bald tires when I was a teenager, worst driving experience ever.
Your T-bird handled that deer pretty well. We hit one with an 80's Cadillac once and all we had to do was pick the hair out of the cracks, not as fast as 100km/h though. LTC's are pretty tough too but the hardware was shit. Interior fell apart and powered accessories stopped working.
