You think I should start opening up my sales calls with poetry?
They tell me the secret to opening up people is pattern interruption.
Gatekeepers and Decision-makers alike are so used to getting calls from sales humans, they train themselves to ignore most of what a person has to say.
But if I were to call them, and open the conversation with a formal poem, dedicated to them, perhaps they would be more open.
Perhaps the beauty of my words would help them get through their otherwise mundane Mondays.
Perhaps it could let them think of something else, other than Taco Tuesday.
