The Story always Ends.

The Hero Wins.

The Villain is Vanquished.

The peasants are safe, one again.

But remember that hero.

That protagonist you loved.

Is not immune to age.

And as he aged,

He developed a slow, but painful, metastatic Cancer.

The story doesn't end upon Victory.

The story ends upon Death.

It sounds so painful.

And there is nobody to tell us,

What the other side is like.
