There is a Voice inside your Head.

It narrates your day, thinks your thoughts, plans actions and speech.

Your internal narrator.

It is not who your are.

Have you ever wondered why their is an internal monologue?

Schizophrenic's hear voices in their head, but they have the sanity to recognize that these voices are indeed, not their own.

However, most 'sane' humans do have a singular voice inside of their head, which they mistakenly conflate has their own.

I'm certain you have heard it. You might even be listening to it right now.

It is probably dictating thoughts, and possible response to this very post.

But it is there. It is talking to you. And it is telling you what to think.

Do you actually think that this voice, this internal narrator, is you?

Or is it something else?

Of course it isn't yours. It's the implants we've placed inside your head to guide you. Please remain in full view of the birds and thank you for your cooperation.

Birds are fake and gay

Bird are indeed fake, but are incapable of being gay due to being fake. Avian reproduction is simply the assembly of a new drone by a skilled drone maker.

I meant 'gay' as in 'happy and carefree', altho I guess that's not possible for drones either

The difference between schyzos and pretty much the rest, is that schyzos have no control over that voice, or voices, plural. Not only that, but quite often, that voice(s) tells them to kill themselves. That's why it's considered an mental illness, because it's quite detrimental in the end. Of course I won't digress and talk about other somewhat similar conditions with a slightly different outcome, such as voices telling you to kill everybody, different conditions bearing different technical names, but you get the general idea, you have control over that voice, at least some degree of control... They have zero control over it...

That being said, it's not the voice that talks clearly, the one that you can clearly hear and control, which is the most interesting. Because that voice is mostly a fabrication of your own, it's a sort of imaginary friend, a relationship you entertain with yourself

It's the other, the one you can perceive but not hear loud and clear, which is much more interesting IMO. The one you don't control, the one that feels like on mute, like somebody talking from behind a thick glass, that voice that doesn't make long speeches, but rather quick sentences, such as "yes", "no", "don't do that", "be careful"

There is a Voice inside your Head.

You assume everyone has this. I don't believe everyone shares this phenomenon. Yep, I believe there are many people with no inner voice.

I do think this phenomenon is coming from an alternate reality (it's the best way I can describe it). I agree, it's not me as such. Tesla claimed he had this and it wasn't coming from him.

You may find

The only "real" you is the vagus nervous system and gut biotia. Everything else is an overlay.

When I was younger I didn't consider it to be coming from me, and it didn't speak as if it was me; it spoke as if it were something else talking to me.

I now consider it to be part of myself. Perhaps it connects me to more of the universe in a way. You have different fingers which are all part of your hand. Your toes aren't part of your hand, but your fingers and toes are all parts of your body.

Is your blood a part of you? What a about the oxygen and carbon dioxide in your blood? What about the air in your lungs? Is your breath a part of you? Maybe you don't start and end within some clearly marked black and white boundary.

I interact with different people in my dreams. Surely my brain is generating all these people, and I view them as parts of myself, though they aren't really me. And what my brain generates is at least partially determined by the information it gets from outside.

So, I don't think it's as simple as having communication from an external entity. But if the brain can generate one stream of consciousness, maybe it can generate others. These entities may be birthed into your head after your mind has been impregnated from outside influences.

Sometimes I get Linkin Park songs stuck in my head and it makes me feel like my internal narrator has a really fucked up sense of humor.

I don't even like Linkin Park.
