Silently watching,

As you go through life's motions.

You obviously wouldn't believe them.

That would be truly insane.

To think that some odd entity would be lurking behind your back this entire time.

Watching every single thing you do.

But realistically,

How could you prove it?

Experienced this with insomnia once.

After a while I would find it hanging with a rope around it's neck, and suicide note would be enough to concluded it was observing me.

Easy.
