Unfortunately, I was notified first.
I was informed about the upcoming plague and how bad it was going to be for all of humanity. I was told about the ensuing chaos, and collapsing economy, the lack of goods, and finally, the violence that will come shortly thereafter.
I should've told you sooner. You all would be better off if you had been warned.
Unfortunately, I didn't trust my source.
Or maybe I didn't want to tell my source to people, because that would make me seem untrustworthy. He never lied to me before, though...
For he was, and always has been, the deepest of all moles.
The one person who is always in the know.
The one man who is always the fly on the wall, in every meeting.
My source was God, the Man on the inside of everything.
The one entity I cannot ever trust.
He whispers to me at night, and he does not lie to me.
But I cannot even confirm his existence.
I do not know who he works for,
And I can't speculate what his motives are.
But he hasn't lied to me,
Yet.
