Sweet as Spring Water The Beach

Tropical winds blow
Clear away Midwestern blues
Ne'er a thought of snow

Waves caress the shore
Ethereal song of dreams
Molds the mind like sand

A blanket of silk
To comfort the raging sea
Warm beneath my feet

Red sunset lingers
Paints waves framed by swaying fronds
Footprints wash away

Waves follow the breeze
Sun heats the sand at midday
Dozing in the shade
