In spring
Rain whispers across my lips
Like a last fleeting kiss
Close my eyes
Capture the after image
Of a crossroads in our lives
Try to decide
Try to maintain
Fall to the ground
Screaming insane
Learn to make change

Let autumn leaves
Cover me in a grave so deep
No one can see
How I grieve
For what we had
Please, winter, come
Steal my breath
Stop these words
Just let me rest

Summer sun shine down
Burn and peel
Lay waste
To all I thought was real
Because I can't bear to feel
Spring rain
Across my lips
My last memory
Of the curve in your hips
Drowning as I reminisce
The fading thought
Of our last kiss

Kinda gay but also well written.

Work on your cadence, I thing some of your rhymes work, but others are reaching.

Overall pretty sweet though bro!

Yeah,
I spent longer than I'd like to admit
trying to reconcile a failed relationship.
It took a toll on my timing,
my soul, and my rhyming.

Slam poetry has a master that I Hate.
The sing song tune of fame;
dressed in 4 4 time
and eloquent posing.
Fuck those whores
and their 'art'
lacking knowing.

I wanted something more...
Something deeper.
A stumbling reader;
maybe strong, maybe weak.
Maybe finding in my words
the solace that they seek.

What a fucking poem!

I nominate this man for best poem.

I also nominate myself.
