The Matriarchs in my Family are dead and gone.

My Parents divorced before I was five.

I broke up with my girlfriend.

My mother is going down to Charleston.

There won't be a Happy Thanksgiving this year.

Don't get me wrong.

I get to join my Dad's Thanksgiving.

But since my Grandmother died, and my brother broke up with this baby-momma, and he doesn't always get the Nephew's, it is more sad and small than anything.

I'll be attending a similar thanksgiving myself. Small and broken. Lots of divorce and lack of nephew's. I'm still going to try and be thankful for being there.

If there's nothing left for yourself, try living for anybody else

Go buy some good food, a couple of drinks a pack of cigs, no need to ruin yourself, put all that in a bag

Go in a neighborhood where you never went and will never go back, find the old bum with the santa beard, give him the bag, have a chat and a cig, or not, and go home

While your life is probably utter shit, tonight someone with a much shittier life gets a break, thx to you

Same here. I moved so far from my family for dumb love which didn't work out. I feel lonely and depressed, I am used to having a full house on Thanksgiving. I don't know anyone here.

I knew a guy who burned down his house ... with all the family inside.

He seemed pretty happy, afterwards.
