First, I took sometime to closely examine the blue face masks that I had bought from China last year, that I used to go to the grocery store, and was able to verify black worms with my own eyes.

Took the black worm out of the mask. Put it in water. Didn't do anything out of the ordinary. Changed the water for ethanol, and suddenly it came alive and started swimming. I plucked out one of my own hairs and put it next to the warm for comparison.

The hair was much thicker than the worm and it didn't move.

After verifying this horror for myself, I decided never to wear those masks again. Anything that you can get from the store is suspect. So I decided to make my own. It only took me a few minutes.

First I found a piece of string and used it to make a fisherman's knot. This is allows me to make a loop that can be made bigger or smaller without using an elastic.

Then I took an old handerkerchief, folded it in half over the string and then put some stitches in. That was it, now I have my new mask.

I don't know why I waited so long. It was super easy and quick. I should have done it from the start. I had my doubts from the very beginning about the Chinese face masks, and wondered whether they might be causing disease.

I saw a guy wearing one made out of window screen... but I live in Florida so most of us non-maskers just tell people to fuck off now.

How did you find the black worms. been wanting to try on my paper masks. did you need a microsope?

I had bought a magnifying glass to try to find the worms, but it was a hassle to use. As I was searching through the mask to try to find a good spot to scan with the magnifing glass, I spotted it. It was tiny, black, and maybe a millimeter in length and very thin, but i could see it with my own eyes. I searched for maybe 1 minute until I was able to find it.

You didn't post any pictures or video of your findings. Without any visual evidence, your story is just a story.

They sell cheesecloth masks on Etsy. I’m probably going to get one for situations where I have to wear one. Should just be like breathing freely but looks like a solid material.

I've seen a few people wearing 'masks' that were such open material I could still see their mouths. It looked like pantyhose material.

Takes about as long to make one, as it does to order one online.

Fisherman's knot? The one you use to tie a fish hook? Kind of like the hangman's knot?

[–] 1 pt (edited )

no. It's this one

If you tie the two parts of the knot tightly, it creates friction, which then keeps the loop at whatever size you set it to.

Okay, that makes much more sense.

So why no pictures or video of your worm extracted from the paper mask? You know the rule, OP. Pics/video or it didn't happen.

So you only have video of the extracted worm and not any of you extracting it from the mask? Um, yeah. You do realize this sort of "proof" will only be met with demands for more evidence that you didn't fake this, right? You really aren't making yourself look credible by not including any video of the process of taking the worm out of an un-tampered with mask. Charlatans and hoaxers always leave out the important parts.
