I wouldn't even bother making the virus, I would just come up with a test that would have a ton of false positives and then have the media pretend that there is a virus. People without a TV or social media would never know that the coof is a thing, especially if they live in a no-mask-mandate area. There is no physical evidence of it. Neither China nor the USA has managed to isolate the supposed covid-19.
