im going to say this is sorta, not really true. 3 family members had or have this disease and i can tell you they were active at work and socially while it crept in. it starts slowly at first then comes in hard as the person pulls away due to i guess lack of caring about the outside world due to the inability to focus on real time events. i can see then, at that point it becomes what the headline states.
