The period of denial has ended. Now even normies are openly and publicly discussing the possibility of pandemic. That combined with the massive gas leak earlier today seems to have everyone on edge.
Whenever anyone coughs people look at them with immediate distrust and distaste.
A coworker called out today because her boyfriend was hospitalized with a respiratory illness. I obviously am not as medical professional, but she seemed to think there was a distinct possibility that it was the Wuhan Flu.
There are still a few people with their head in the sand, but they are fewer and fewer by the day.
Not to toot my own horn, but I made some seriously good financial moves over the past week, so at the very least I am financially prepared.
I am not going to attempt to avoid contracting the virus in any serious type of manner. I'm washing my hands more but I'm not going to wear a mask.
This is because I have come to the conclusion that the virus is actually unavoidable for someone who lives my sort of lifestyle. I live in the city, I take public transportation, I handle large amounts of cash, and I interact with large amounts of travellers on a daily basis.
I will either get the virus or I won't. I'm choosing to put my faith in God with this one. I'm nearly certain that he won't let me die because I am too handsome and charming.
It is still a good time to exit all your equity positions. Markets were frothy today as people expect stimulus from the central banks.
Stimulus will not solve the underlying production problems, nor will it cure the plague.
If you haven't stocked up on canned goods, you probably should. If shit really hits the fan, always remember that you don't have to buy human food. This is going to sound like a joke, but buying dog food is a viable option. It is the last thing normies will go for in the event of a true food shortage. Just get the expensive grain free brands, they taste way better.
Good luck faggots, we're all in this together.

-Theo
