Thunder cracked out and down the valley. Rain wouldn't commence in Elizabethtown for another 10 minutes, but by that time Jesse would be finished with the night's work. "Two more to go," he thought, sharpening his knife for the next body.
Jesse kept on thinking about how awful it was going to be, just to drive away.
He would have to run out to the car, hopefully no longer cover in blood, but he really could not avoid getting wet.
The rain will always make you wet.
Just gotta work through the skin...
He stabbed the knife in through where the shoulder-blades met, and kept dragging it down towards the hind quarters.
His customers weren't paying for anything other than the meat.
They usually didn't want anything else. No skin, no organs.
It was something nice to bring home to his wife, especially in the rain.
He just had to take the skin into his workshop, and vacuum pack the organs for later.
But the rain was bad.
And his wife would be thinking about him.
