Idk, obviously we all like to see this, but half the time when people complain about platforms adjusting the reviews for things, I feel pretty confident that, just like this, people are giving bad reviews without having watched it, or eaten there, or used their service.

Reviews aren’t supposed to be “I don’t like these people or what they’re about,” it’s supposed to be “I saw this/participated in this and this was my experience.”

You all know as well as I do that 90+% of those 1 star reviews are people memeing about elves, not actual interpretations of the movie, and I won’t be at all surprised or upset when IMDb inevitably removes them all

There was a moment when something similar happened with a movie that came out that people didn't like, I think that wakanda film, and they changed tomato scoring as well as a response to the truth. Its sadly possible they will remove audience scoring all together...

Did you even look at the picture at the top of this post? The ratings range from one to ten, 89% is at one star and 4.5% is at ten stars. It's IMDB, which has a 1-10 star rating system. It isn't really about sending a message to the creators, it's about a spirit ralley among those already in the group and promoting encouragement among the group by everyone showing up and being counted, and counting themselves.
