Imagine getting up in the morning to go to work or something and find out a fucked up software update made it so your car cant start anymore or having it fail while you are at highway speeds in traffic.

Stranded Jeep owners have been detailing their experiences in forum and Reddit posts, as well as on YouTube. The buggy update doesn't appear to brick the car immediately. Instead, the failure appears to occur while driving—a far more serious problem. For some, this happened close to home and at low speed, but others claim to have experienced a powertrain failure at highway speeds.

Imagine you work the night shift and after a grueling 8 or 12 hours you just want to get in your vehicle and go home..

Or there's a medical emergency and you need to get your kid to the hospital..

There is no excuse for any update to be applied automatically, especially when we have a bunch of midwits developing software with chatgpt.

If my car didn't start because of a fucking update and someone in my family died or had extreme medical problems because of it? I am suing that company to death and maybe using the money for other things....
