Yeah, that is fucking stupid. Why do you need a "smart bassinet". Most of humanity got by just fine without crap like this.

From the post:

>Parents are slamming Happy Baby, a company that makes a smart bassinet known as Snoo, for adding monthly subscription fees to access its features. The $1,700 bassinet, which uses sensors to detect a fussing baby and creates calming womb-like motions and sounds to help add 'one to two hours' of rest into a baby's routine, became a hit with parents when it was released in 2016. Parents justified splashing out their funds on the large price tag of the bassinet and all of the features that would help pacify their babies in the middle of the night due to the high resale value, with a used product selling for about $900.

Designed by a jew. This thing is a psychological torture device. It completely restrains a child like a straight jacket. Newborns benefit from swaddling but older babies don't. jew torture brain fuckery.

It also prevents mom from forming a really strong bond with her babu as she won't be the one holding it near.

So $1,700 for a device that monitors your baby so you don't have to?

The future - and it's inhabitants - are truly stupid indeed.

/s/internetofshit as well...

This device is literally a one-time use product that people get a license to use with remote features for the expected life of the end-user (the baby.) Once that life is up, the product is no longer functional. Second-hand users are complaining that the device's life has been used up. Essentially, they paid for a very expensive baby swing.

That being said, there's no real reason for this to have any remote connection needs except that they've probably offloaded any processing to a remote server, and when the company shuts down it's useless anyway.

'Disgusting. I bought a used Snoo for $750. I used it and resold it for $850. They are just trying to milk a product to death,' said one person.

Uh...you bought it for $750 and sold it for more? I think you're the one milking the dead cow here.
