Imagine the difference, a kid you know even just a little has a stroke. Next thing you know you are telling everyone, "I know this kid who had a stroke. Can you believe it, a kid." Then later they tell their wife. Hey, one of my coworkers told me he knows a kid who had a stroke. Crazy. Vs.
Hey, Timmy had a stroke. Yeah, I heard that happens, that's sad. So did you see what happened on sportsball?

The amount of conversation that event will generate before normalization vs after is at least 10:1. Everyone that kid knows even slightly telling everyone they know, and some of those telling a few more, vs, just a conversation that happens within the family and maybe a few close friends.
