What about taking the RFID part out of the old original filter and put it in the new non-GE one?

Reminds me of these company who sell salt and put an expiration date on the packaging. lol
They did the same with toner for a laser printer I have at work. Toner doesn't ever go bad, but once you use the cartridge, you have a year to finish it up. I only print about once a week on the thing.
Guess who will never ever buy a printer from that company again? This guy.
Can you at least tell us the brand? I suspect it is HP, but who knows anymore.
They do that with Keurig K2 coffee cups. You take the top ring off of a genuine cup and put it in the machine along with your cheap knockoff cup. It works just fine. Fuck these guys.
I wouldn't be surprised if the sensor is a one time use sensor that you can't transfer.
