The mayor of Midland said authorities have confirmed the suspect is dead. She added that robot and drone footage confirmed the death of the suspect. Police did not immediately say how the suspect died. Midland Memorial Hospital said four of the patients it received required surgery, one of them have been moved to recovery. Five victims were deemed stable, three have been discharged and the other two remain in the hospital. The incident started in the 4600 block of West Wall Street on Friday morning. According to Midland Police, they heard gunfire coming from the building.
