I started a new job through a training program this year and I'm about 80% of the way through it with extremely high grades. I'm going to fail because of social politics. I'm officially on a "do better or we're firing you' plan that basically boils down to stop asking questions, and do everything the way one of your four bosses wants it done and do it faster. Oh and the boss watching you is going to change every day.

I asked for an example of how I'm not taking feedback well, and the one that came to mind to my girl boss was when we were discussing something technical with no one around, and i asked for a literature reference to read up on.

Fuck me. When the accusation is that you don't take feedback well, you literally can't say a damn thing about anything.

I'm already looking. It's highly specialized but i can't take my clinical progress with me, and unfortunately i need this bitch to give me a gold star to get through it, but it feels like she's actively sabotaging me. Since she's my boss, and the education director is in another state, I really have no options to get her to calm down or get a neutral third party involved. It's all medical related so I can't even record her getting on my case!

My default in situations like this is to go formal, and not speak unless required to. Which thankful isn't noted on my PIP.

By training I'm a scientist not a nurse and the culture shock is still mind blowing to me.

But I'm still pondering this: How the hell is asking for further information to read up on something considered 'responds poorly to feedback??!!

Yeah I’d take that up with whoever paid her check. But then again I don’t work well with others.
