On the night of 16/17 July 1918, the holy Tsar Nicholas II, together with his Empress, children, and faithful servants, were martyred by the bolsheviks in the Ipatiev House at Yekaterinburg. That structure was deliberately demolished in 1977 to mark the sixtieth anniversary of the bolshevik revolution. In it's place now stands the Cathedral on the Blood, an Orthodox shrine to the Royal Martyrs.

October 30, 1905, Tsar Nicholas II issued the October Manifesto. It marked the end of unlimited tsarist autocracy by promising civil liberties—such as freedom of speech, press, and assembly—and establishing the State Duma, an elected legislative parliament without whose approval no laws could be enacted

And then they murdered him and his family anyway. Never give an inch to marxists. Their appeal to compromise is a ruse. They'll murder you and everyone you know the first chance they get.
