These bastards slice you open like scalpels.

I always use electrical tape and wrap each tie at least 5 times. This ensures if the next guy want to touch it, he didn't charge enough. Also, I leave the excess so I can re-use them. Most importantly I like to use different sizes of tie and color of tape for each time I need one. It allows me to sleep at night knowing I have embraced diversity.

I like the cut of your jib.

Don’t forget to throw all your trash on the floor of the job site, including food and cups and leave. Someone will pick that up.

Diabolical. I like it in principle but who's got the time.

When you’re paid by the hour, everyone’s got the time.

Especially when your boss cannot do the job themselves.

I like to cut them diagonally so they have a sharp point. Cable tie? No, barbed plastic. No touchie.

These seem to be the optimal solution for that application:

Million dollar idea: cable tie cutter that leaves a rounded end.

My favorite hardware site McMaster-Carr shows only 3 options of cut end: flesh slicing, flesh piercing, and slicing-piercing combo. Time for something better.

Using simple flush wire cutters: embed

Maybe I am unskilled, but I have difficulty cutting flush ends for wire runs around, behind, and under in hard to reach places. Those are the ones that bite me the most.
