In 1912 some guy figured out how to turn coal into a superdrug called Acriflavine, it was used extensively during WW1 with great success but was replaced with penicillin. Which made Pharma companies immense profits.

Fast forward to 2026 and many strains of virus/bacteria are becoming drug resistant researchers are looking back at an old treatment with new eyes. Unfortunately there are some (((people))) who don't want you to know about this extremely cheap medicine because it would kill their bottom line.

BLUF: It is currently used to image body scans because it targets malicious stuff in your body (viruses, bacteria and cancer) but it also sends a red alarm to your immune system which goes into overdrive to eradicate the infection.

This is some heavy shit, this drug is being used in 3rd world counties successfully where the jews can't make money from it but there is almost no information on it on the web. The only thing I could find about it are incredibly technical papers that even I couldn't understand.

Sorry gents, you are going to have to do your own research about this, if you have a condition and want to save your life, I couldn't find much information about it.

Funniest thing though, even after years of being in the "I don't need Pharma drugs to fix myself" crowd I still had never run across this one. It was mentioned in an Anime I was watching (making penicillin out of coal, which I found ridiculous) which made me look it up.

Japs are based... apparently.

Everything I'm seeing about it shows external, topical use only. Nothing about ingestion

If that was the case than how do they use it for diagnosis? As a dye to highlight aberrant cells?

I'm new to this so do your own research, the shit is safe for people though so finding the right amount may not be so important. Just knowing that it exists is the important thing.

Wasn't being critical, brother. Just didn't see anything about an ingestible form

I didn't find much out about it period which leads me to believe that somebody has spent a fair amount of effort to make it that way.

If the time comes that I need something like that stuff I have the name saved and will do the work then. For now, I just can't be bothered.

It's being sold in the UK for fish, as a solution to add to ponds for disease treatment.

I'm curious to understand how much a human should ingest to avoid anything problematic to health.

Horse paste 2.0

This stuff is so censored that dosage information is made out of unobtainium, you will really have to dig deep to get to the bottom of this one.

>mentioned in an Anime Dr. Stone?

Normally I would have thought it would be but it was some trash Isekai called "High School Prodigies Have It Easy In Another World".

Not worth watching but one of the "prodigies" was a world class doctor and when her penicillin supply ran out she came up with this shit which I had never heard of. I though that it was just some bullshit writing to move the story along but on a whim I looked it up (medicine made from coal) and it ended up being a real thing.

Dr. Stone is fun btw.

Ah, I see, thanks for explaining. I remember Dr. Stone had a penicillin episode, except they actually made the real thing with what they had at hand. For me, Dr. Stone reminds heavily of my modded Factorio playthroughs: find the problem, identify the solution, work towards it by developing and researching crazy convoluted mechanisms, repeat. The seasons had their ups and downs, not all of it was perfect, but the last one was absolute peak so far.

Unrelated, but I can recommend a special kind of isekai slop called Sokushi Cheat, and the reason I enjoyed it was because if you don't view it as a typical wish fulfillment cheat ability isekai, but a story about an SCP entity that escaped its containment under the guise of an average schoolboy, it starts getting kinda good. And because he's so unassuming, everyone tries to fuck with him with cheat abilities of their own and end up finding out, the level of insanity never goes down and it breaks so many cliches without giving a single fuck, you just don't see often every day. Unashamed 7/10.

Sokushi Cheat

Already watched it twice and it's up there with some of my favorites, he gets so OP that he kills gravity. Fun.
