I'm so thankful to live where I live. No HOA. Also, for large trash pickup, people put stuff out that sits for days. The indicator that it's a great neighborhood: people put out mirrors or glass coffee tables or other fragile items and they remain intact until they get picked up. Edit: and the kids in the neighborhood walk down this street every day on their way to and from the school bus stop and yet they don't destroy stuff just for the sake of destroying it. It's incredible.
