Got sick of the city. Moved to Georgia and got a spot in the sticks. Other family moved there as well. Now it's "when in Rome..."
Locals don't necessarily accept us. Maybe in 4 or 5 generations should we last that long. But getting to know the outdoors and the world around you is a wonderful thing. I wish I had grown up this way.
I can fell trees now, have a small orchard, relationships with local small farms for meat. Still working on the garden. I had big ideas but only some of them have come true. If you like working you would love this.
