I've needed more sensors for my Home Assistant install, as well as other piecesparts to go along with it. So, of course, I'm still ordering them from suppliers in China because I'm not interested in paying 4x the price for the **exact same item** on Amazoneout-mart or something. It's interesting to note that, while there were a few, a whole cottage industry of last mile delivery companies and transport companies has sprung up. Some bring you the package, others just "receive" it and put it in the mailstream, avoiding tariffs. So the net effect for this is it costs me just a little more to get these devices because I'm paying on the wholesale price. A few cents here and there. It's literally done nothing for the crap coming in from China in this manner except drive up prices for goods from countries other than China.
