I don't even understand how a person like that would function.
It's truly mind blowing to think about. So many "people" just running on pure instinct alone. Hell even my dog demonstrates planning and higher level thought that just "food, fuck, sleep."
At base-level: food, sleep, instant gratification (muh dick), and violence.

I have vivid recollections of my thoughts when I was a toddler contemplating doing something naughty and the possible consequences (and the wonder at suffering a consequence I hadn’t anticipated). I am amazed that some people don’t have the same ability. I’ve always thought that this was one of the defining characteristics of being human.
Perhaps a defining characteristic of having a soul.
