Lift the top and it folds down into a little rectangle. Well my wife's friend brought one over to us because I guess we don't have one and they had more than one. Anyway her husband loaded it up for her. I guess he pulled it all the way up to make a rather large rectangle that he secured to the roof rack with a bungee cord and a zip tie. Odd choice. Guy works in tech, you know how those people are.
