I keep it simple with flat front no pleat half break. Pleats are suspiciously close to ruffles.

9 is my preferred on tailored trousers. I prefer inner and outer button closures as well. Lined with silk if the material is itchy or flannel for colder weather. Flat front, cuffed, with a double pocket on the right side, and button closures on the rear pockets.
