Really depends on condition. I'm looking to pay around 2-3k for one in decent condition with a trailer. You can find them for like 500 bucks but usually that is one that has been sitting in the weather that needs a lot of reconditioning and new sails.
It the trailer has decent wheels and roller and winch that seems very reasonable a price for them and you, that is a good price range if you have cash to blow on luxeries like that it's a good deal. Now do you have to pay a hundred or so to register that or is it cheap since my last town to register a showmobile or 4 wheeler for trail riding and they kept the trails in good condition it was around $600 a year which for a guy that lived off of lake Winnapausawkee where you paid like a hundred and just drove the thing down to the lake once it froke that $600 seemed like pure greed to me.
A lot of the times the trailer will need new wheel bearings but it isn't that bad of a job.
Registration is like 60 bucks and lasts for three years. Pretty reasonable, and it goes to Ohio Department of Natural Resources, which actually does a lot of good here in Ohio.
Sound like your states got it's shit together on recreational vehicles. My state has a youtube channel with the game wardens chasing teenagers for driving unregistered mini bikes on trails which make me sad to know I was NH born and lived most of my life. In VT now but still consider myself a NH resident at heart, live free or die is gold.
