Why are you running windows?

Lazy. I was getting ready to put a linux distro on an older laptop I have (old but in what I thought was great working condition) and one of the memory slots is shot. Max memory is 16gb and it's some old memory type that's really hard to find nowdays.

Yes they did. They also installed some CP on your computer. Expect a knock on you door soon. Run while you can.

Fookin' hell, tbh that isn't even funny. I'm just hoping my graphics "card" isn't going. POS laptop is supposed to a good "gaming" device and it runs hot as hell just watching 1080 videos.

I don't know where people got the idea that a "screen flash" indicates that a screenshot was taken. As a programmer, I can take screenshots and record video of your screen without having any indicators that anything at all is happening. Microsoft could certainly grab screens all day long without you knowing. You won't know that any software is doing this unless they purposefully build in a feature to indicate they are taking screenshots. Software doesn't work like it does in the movies.

Is it a Dell laptop and docking station? They do all do that for awhile for some reason. Goes away after a few months.
