For reference, I'm Canadian and don't live anywhere close to the border.

I was at a work event and one of the older gentlemen was talking about how his adult daughter was in tears all day when she heard the news that Trump won. This doesn't even affect her in any way. It took everything I had to sit there looking normal and not break out in laughter.

What the fuck is wrong with these fucking sheep?

I saw a post on another board - some guy from oz whining about how is Trump going to affect him.

About as much as the spiders in Alice Springs affect me.

This just re-enforces the reach of global media. Canada & Aus. are still Commonwealth parts of England. Seperate laws, last I looked. Yet, they think this will affect them directly. Amazing. Scientists are baffled.
