Actually the plane was a piece of shit and I wouldn't have flown in it without a parachute, but that's why I was there so it worked out.

It's an amazing experience, and I'm probably gonna make it a hobby and get licensed.

Anyone else ever do it? Anyone here licensed?

I give you credit. I’ve always wanted to do that but I want a guarantee that the chute will open.

All I can say is do it. You have to go tandem the first time anyway at most places, and that guy doesn't want to die. Hmm...unless he does...I hadn't really thought of that.

But the statistics are encouraging if you exclude base jumpers and eXtreme! morons. About one hour of your life, minus the drive, amazing experience.

Probably a safer and a more valuable experience than seeing NYC or Paris or something.

Oh, plus, I'm pretty sure only White people and maybe some Asians do it. It's definitely not a sport likely to be dominated by low IQ races.

Okay, now I need an AI video of a sub-saharan skydiving and ignoring the beep coming from his arm-bird...altimeter.

There's no such thing as 'a perfectly good airplane' hahha.

We used to balk at those who stated such with retorts - do you know who built them? The lowest bidder!

Good for you!

AATW!

Airborne! Thanks for your service and how many times did you jump?

My dad always did the "perfectly good airplane" bit, ARMY/NAVY.

I only have 16 jumps - one daytime training (1st jump), one daytime fun jump, and one daytime qual jump. The rest were all o' dark-thirty mass-tac assaults

Airborne Infantry, best job I've ever had.

Wife got me a skiy dive for my 30th. It was awesome such a wicked rush and amazing views where we live. I wanted to jump with her but then she got preggo and it's now too much of a mum to risk her life. Which is fair.

When I jumped there was a dude who took photos and shit so he could clock up hours to get a licence, I guess. Few weeks later after our jump he died doing it.

I don't mean to put you off but definitely double and triple check your gear. Get others to check it for you as well.

For sure. Not put off at all, it's a risky hobby. I think I'll be good for that though, I like attention to detail, process, being alive.

Congrats on your jump, and the kid!
