I'm sure you all have seen and heard about the drama going on in the mountains and surrounding areas of N.C. and east T.N. It's even worse in person. I feel numb inside. I have never in my life seen so many people in shock or terror at once. I'm putting up the chainsaws now. There are plenty of people doing that. Me and a few are breaking out the beans. People are hungry. No way to communicate out there so before I go back, a warning. A good friend of mine was running a saw and got his head split open. They took his truck and everything. Left him laying in the road bleeding. He made it back. We're going back with 250 lbs of beans and an arsenal. Wont happen as easy this time. Be safe Poal.

Never send anyone out alone, 2 man groups minimum. Stay in contact, you know about the Zello app?

Edit: Zello is good if there is no phone signal, but you have internet access. Push to talk, SOS calls and similar stuff to use in emergency situations.

God bless you man, I used to live on the edge of Pisgah nat forest, in the Blue Ridge and the Great Smokies . That ground can turn to something like quicksand when a hard rain comes.

We're going back tomorrow to do whatever we can. Yeah, we screwed up separating. We got lectured by a statey, lol. Guy told me it's real dangerous around Ashville. I'm for bed. Our house was left alone thankfully. My buddy's house had a tree fall through it. Luckily, he was with me and his wife and kids were at an in-laws house.

We're not sure how we're going to route home because of the interstates washed out.
