It’s almost like Israel wanted to launch a violent attack, claim it was “killing Hezbollah” and then wait for Lebanon to respond in kind before launching a more direct attack on the nation “in self defense.”

Israel is the guy who intentionally knocks over your little sister, pretends it was on accident, then cries to the cops after you beat the shit out of him.

Correct, regardless of how "accurate" it was, it was terrorism. The purpose was to instigate a broader war.

If it was an indiscriminate attack, it'd primarily impact typical pager users such as doctors, firemen, and other emergency services personnel.

When it darn near exclusively impacted Hezbollah members and its fighters (the ambassador to Lebanon isnt a surgeon, he's a Hezbollah liaison), it's obvious that it was highly targetted to just a terrorist organization.
