Week-long trade show, and we're staying downtown.

During this same show several years ago, one of our other engineers was here. He said it started to get a little rioty in a certain part of the downtown area, so the city raised all of the bridges across the river to keep it contained.

This is the correct answer. @ScreamingRubberBand - you get hazardous duty pay for this? If not, just make an entry on your expense report labeled "Screw Shitcongo" for $1,000, and instead of attaching receipts print out web article headlines from local news sources documenting all the shootings/murders that happened while you were there. Profit. Maybe.
