I would say the American system s designed to kill you, also, but it has been optimized for profitability.
I don't disagree, however I would say that for the US, it varies by State, by hospital, by doctor, etc. Here in Canada, doctors have little to no medical freedom in using non-conventional or experimental treatment methods to help their patients. I would say it's a lot better in the US, if you have $$$$ and insurance.
In Canada, it often takes years to see specialists to even get a diagnosis. Many thousands of people are dying every year due to wait times to see specialists.
Once you realize that the aim of medicine is to get as much pharmaceuticals as conceivably possible into as many people as possible then it becomes abundantly clear that the system must be avoided at all costs. There success is in our sickness.
