Hang a shingle
Oh I'll be hanging a few of those, the shitty rubber roof over the car port leaks. So I'm going to tear it off and replace base wood thats broken and shingle the whole thing. My wifes uncle is a roofer I spent 2 weeks on roofs with him and I think I can handle it(I will also probably ask him to supervise)
Hell yeah man. Smart. If your roof leaks everything under it goes to shit quick (if your in a rainy zone). I roofed for over 14 years when I got out of high school. So hot I sometimes saw things that werent there. Best paying worst job I ever did. When the mexicans started doing it I knew I would never see more money just less so I GTFO
Pretty much my logic if it has leaked just replace it all. What do you do now? We don't have many illegals in the area I'm in. Drive 2 hours south and different story. I'll do my own roof. I'm pretty sure the rubber painted on roof stuff is kind of shit. I did a rubber on my RV as is recommended and it constantly has to be re sealed.
