I'm not quitting because of:

  • any study
  • ill effects
  • health
  • anyone's opinion (especially hard line faggots like StabEm and hystereichal)
  • money

I am quitting because I want to. Plain and simple. I'm still going to grow, because there are a lot of people that look forward to my harvests every year. Especially some elderly folks that really enjoy my edibles (which I hate) and my tinctures/lotions.

My biggest challenge IMO will be my physical addiction to smoking in general. I quit cigarettes long ago and switched to vaping, but I really like the feel of a smooth smoke going into my lungs. That in itself caused me to smoke more weed. I'm done with that. Anyway I figured I would document any changes or non changes that I notice. I'll update every now and then... If you want/care to know anything just ask me.

Day 1: Nothing to note

Day 2: I want to smoke something, but will refrain from doing so.

Day 3: I slept in today. I hardly ever sleep in, especially not until 9:30. I think I am vaping a little more than usual. Felt strange not having my usual half joint with my coffee. I really want to smoke something! Long deep breaths seem to help...

I've heard of people who were quitting smoking that found it helpful to put their empty fingers up to their lips, and inhale as if they were smoking, several times over a period of how ever many minutes a smoke would normally last. Something like the breathing pattern tricks some part of you and calms you down like a smoke did.
I don't personally know anyone who did this to quit smoking, the only person I know who was able to quit just decided one day that he is not smoker, and that was it, so I can't vouch for it, but it doesn't seem like it can do any harm, so give it a whirl and let us know if it is helpful at all.
