Bear was the best dog. All white Australian Shepherd Labrador. Thirteen years old. A solid age for the breed. Had a beautiful life. So friendly, so loyal, happy his whole life. Barked at any surprises, loved on any of our friends.

He had been slowing down a lot very noticably the past few months. A few weeks ago slowed his eating, which was his favorite thing, so made a vet apointment - that he never reached.

Fell down today and couldn't get back up. Called the emergency vet and had to carry him to the car to get him there. Was gone before we arrived.

I love you, Bear. Thank you for the happy memories.

All dogs go to heaven.

Thank you.

I like to think Bear isn't resting, but chasing squirrels in heaven.

Or gorging himself silly on his favorite food!

Bear will be in very good company chasing squirrels in heaven with my Abby girl. I like to believe all my dogs I’ve seen off to heaven (and it’s been a number of them considering I’m approaching 60 and always have 2-5 dogs at any one time), are always awaiting and greeting new comers with love, toys, and romps. God bless you, Bear.
