I just asked the wife what we were going to make for dinner tonight. She said, "I feel like having Chick-fil-A."

Me: What? Fast food? Wife: A few people on a conference call today were making fun of them being closed on Sundays because of their religion. Me: So? Wife: That makes me want to get Chick-fil-A. Me: It's enough that you feel that way. Let's have the two fillets we bought. I'll start the grill. You make the asparagus and potatoes. Wife: Yeah. That sounds better.

LOL. She didn't actually want Chcik-fil-A as much as she was annoyed by her coworkers digs at the family who owns it. It was more of her giving them the proverbial finger.

My filet came out perfectly seared and 120 degrees. Hers was closer to 130, but that's what she prefers. She made twice-baked potatoes and pan seared asparagus. All in all a top quality meal.

Edit: Plus one for "country fried Blasphemy."

Tis a quality meal.

My go to lately has been green beans and broccoli steamed with mashed potatoes and an 8 oz sirloin steak, med rare.

If I was doing chicken I would do it just like you guys. I enjoy asparagus.
